The meals here were a delightful surprise and really stood out,
as Joyce and David crafted each dish with so much care and flavor. Their hospitality made us feel like part of their family, but finding the property was a bit tricky due to the hidden location. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!

Staying in the King Suite with Balcony was a dream come true! The view from the balcony was breathtaking, with lush trees and vibrant plants all around. Ms. Joyce is a gracious host who made us feel like part of the family. We particularly loved having the option to travel the short distance to nearby beaches, which was perfect for relaxing days in the sun. The peaceful surroundings made it a perfect escape from busy life.

The air conditioning comes with a hefty $30US daily fee, and even then, hot temperatures made it essential—only to be nagged about turning it off when leaving the room. I found water pressure issues frequently disrupting showers, along with unreliable hot water. Location seems distant, with a $10US charge for a less than 10-minute taxi ride to the beach. Privacy is lacking, as someone entered my room when I was away, which felt unsettling. Lack of proper amenities cleanup, such as linens or towels, compounded my frustrations. Another alarming detail was the kitchen where items I stored were touched or moved without my consent.

while the vibrant surroundings near the Retreat Guest House were somewhat charming, the air conditioning fee of $30US per day was a total rip-off. i woudl ve been thrilled with just a little welcome gift to compensate, yet nothing. don't even get me started on the nagging about turning off the ac!
